Planning permission granted for Forest Centre!
Posted on
LFT is delighted to announce that the Cairngorm National Park Authority has granted planning permission for our Forest Centre here at Strathmashie! The centre will include a cafe, bike shop, toilets, showers, and an office (yay! no more portakabin winters!) and is planned to open in summer 2014.
If you would like more information you are warmly invited to attend Laggan Forest Trust’s AGM on Tuesday 17th December at 7.30pm in Laggan Village Hall where we will have the plans on display.
AGM papers will be issued at the beginning of December to LFT members. If you are not a member and wish to join the Trust please contact me at projects@lagganforest.com or on 01528 544366 between Monday and Thursday 8.30am – 2.30pm. Membership forms will also be available on the night of the AGM.
It’s been quite a year! LFT Forestry Company gained a timber shed and two new staff in Trevor and Barb (give us a call on 01528 544366 to order firewood or kindlers!), Conservation Volunteer Amy Styles joining our team and introducing many families and school pupils to the joys of forest schools - and the cherry on top – permission to get cracking on building our fantastic Forest Centre!
We do hope to see lots of you at the AGM (nicely close to Christmas – expect mince pies!)
