This is your forest, so feel free to come and have fun any time. Foraging, pine-cone collecting and squirrel-spotting are just some of the things you can do, and the mountain bike trails are always open.

First Aid for the Outdoors Course

£135 per person

A two day Outdoor First Aid course based at the Laggan Wolftrax Centre. This course will look at outdoor incidents as well as covering all the basics using realistic outdoor scenarios.

This course is SQA registered and fulfils the criteria for NGB qualifications such as SMBLA, MLTB, BASI, BOF, SCA, AMG etc

Tuesday July 5th

Orienteering at Laggan Wolftrax Centre with BASOC

Orienteering at Laggan Wolftrax Centre with BASOC, the Badenoch and Strathspey Orienteering Club. 6.00-8.00pm. All ages from adventurous toddlers to 90 and beginners to experienced orienteers welcome. Help for beginners. Maps include String (with prizes!), easy, medium and medium+ courses. Special mtb O course planned by Kingussie High School.  
Adults £3, children £1 available from the cafe.

 


Orienteering for all ages

We have a brand new Teddy Bear’s Picnic trail in the forest behind the Wolftrax Centre ready for half term – get your maps from the café and have an adventure in the forest.

There are also four more orienteering courses of varying difficulty to challenge beginner and more experienced orienteers.

All the courses have been upgraded to allow you to use the iOrienteering app on your smart phone to time yourself and see how others have done.

Maps are available for all courses from the café.

 

Dinner and Music Night

Friday 26th February at 7pm

Tickets £10

Following our successful music evenings last year, we've invited our musician friends back for another dinner and jam session.

Join us for dinner followed by traditional music from the band.

Bring your own instruments and join in or just sit back to be entertained!

Scottish Cross Country Series 26th /27th March

 

The first round of the Scottish Cross Country MTB Series returns to Laggan after a successful race last year. Two hundred racers will compete on the Wolftrax Trails on Easter Sunday. More details: www.sxc.org.uk

Cairngorms Nature Festival 14th & 15th May

We’re working with Kingussie High School to produce a mountain bike orienteering challenge for the Cairngorms Nature Festival as well as creating special orienteering courses in the forest for the weekend. More details will follow as part of the Festival
